Medical Transcriptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transcribing medical reports, patient histories, and other healthcare documentation from audio recordings. • Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports with high accuracy.
• Ensure all medical documents are formatted correctly and adhere to established guidelines.
• Review and edit transcriptions for clarity, grammar, and punctuation while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively to accurately capture the details of patient care and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify any unclear dictations or terminology as needed.
• Maintain an organized filing system for all transcribed documents in accordance with medical office protocols.

Experience

• Proficiency in typing and transcription skills is essential for this role.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is required to ensure accurate documentation.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with transcription software and electronic health record systems is a plus.
